Savings Guarantee terms

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Our promise

If you find a lower LMI cost on a comparable loan, we'll reduce your Low Deposit Premium (LDP) so it's $1,000 less than that LMI cost.

Who it's for

Anyone applying for the OwnHome Deposit Boost (marketed as the Boost Loan), for a home to live in or an investment property.

What counts as a comparable loan

  • A written LMI quote or conditional approval from an Australian lender, dated within the last 30 days.
  • The same loan amount, at 85–100% LVR.
  • A variable rate home loan for the same purpose (owner-occupier or investment) with a comparable interest rate.
  • It doesn't count if the LMI is waived, discounted under a government scheme or professional package, or paid by the lender.

What we compare

The LMI premium, including any stamp duty on it, against our LDP. Other fees and costs aren't part of the comparison.

How to claim

Your broker sends us the quote before your loan documents are issued. If it meets these terms, we'll confirm the reduced LDP to your broker in writing and include it in your loan documents. We can't apply the discount after your loan documents are issued.

Other terms

  • The guarantee reduces your LDP. It isn't paid in cash.
  • One claim per loan.
  • We may ask for more information to check a quote.
  • We can change or withdraw the guarantee for new applications. Any claim you've already made before that will be honoured.

OwnHome Lending Pty Limited ACN 664 515 842 is the credit provider for the Deposit Boost. OwnHome Finance Pty Limited ACN 673 239 604, Australian Credit Licence 555197, manages the loan.
